59 percent of children 12-23 months are fully vaccinated; 14 percent have not received any vaccinations atall.As mentioned earlier, it is recommended that children complete the schedule of immunizations duringtheir first year of life, i.e., by 12 months of age. Table 8.6 shows that, among children age 12-23 months atthe time of interview, 46 percent had been fully vaccinated before their first birthday. With regard to specificvaccines, children were least likely to have received the measles vaccination by age 12 months.Differentials in Vaccination CoverageTable 8.7 shows vaccination coverage rates among children age 12-23 months by selectedbackground characteristics, including the child's sex <strong>and</strong> birth order, urban-rural residence, division, <strong>and</strong> themother's education level. The figures refer to the proportion of children receiving the vaccinations at anytime up to the date of the survey <strong>and</strong> they are based on information from beth the vaccination records <strong>and</strong>mothers' reports.
