3TROUBLESHOOTINGPROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE SUGGESTED REMEDYInadequate Cooling Insufficient air discharge openings. Make sure adequate openingsInadequate exhaust for area beingare provided to exhaust thecooled, causing high humidity andincoming cool air, open windows,discomfort.doors etc.Undersized air conditioner.Clogged or dirty cooling pads.Ducts blocked or collapsedDry pads or lack of water whilethe air conditioner is operating.Excessive Ambient Humidity.See also top of page.Fan running backwards.Fan running too slow.Belt slipping.Replace with larger model.Clean or replace pads.Repair DuctsCheck water distribution systemfor obstructions. Check pump isoperating.On days during summer when theambient humidity is high, the airconditioner will not work aseffectively as on drier days. Thereis no remedy except to shut thepump off.Reconnect the incoming mainsfor correct rotation.Check motor amps. If belowrating plate specification, adjustmotor pulley to increase fan speed.Tighten belt. Replace belt if worn.Fan fails to start. Circuit breaker tripped or fuse blown. Reset or replace.Overload tripped.Power not turned ONLoose electrical connections.Faulty control switch.Motor burned out.Low supply voltage.Reset.Turn power ONCheck all connections.Replace.Replace.Consult with local Electrical authority.Motor overheats and Incorrect setting on current overloads. Reset overloads to correct setting.stops on overload.Wrong size motor.Fit correct size motor.Fan speed too high.Adjust motor pulley until the motorcurrent is equal or below thatspecified on the motor rating plate.Belt slipping or wearing Belt loose.
