Ebb-Flow SystemEbb-Flow System is one of the hydroponic irrigationsolutions provided by B-E De Lier. Our Ebb-Flow irrigation system is a preferred choice ofmany pot plant growers and young plant nurseriesaround the world for its simplicity in design, reliabilityof operation and low initial investment cost.B-E De Lier’s Ebb-Flow system is very popularamong bedding plant, potted plant and salad vegetableproducers. Our Ebb-Flow systems are usuallyinstalled either on specialized growing benches oron concrete floor. In principle this system works bytemporarily flooding the growing benches withnutrient solution for a pre-calculated amount oftime and then draining the solution back to thereservoir. The drained out nutrient solution ismonitored and again enriched with nutrients andreused by periodically pumping it back into thegrowing benches.We recommend this system of irrigation for plantsthat spend relatively less time on the growingbenches of your greenhouse. Raining SystemRaining system or Overhead sprinklers are usedmainly for crops that tolerate wet foliage. B-E DeLier uses an advanced computer modeling systemto design the installation of raining system. Thepipes are installed above the plants at an optimumheight depending on your greenhouse design andthe plant requirements. Spraying nozzles with varyingspray ranges are mounted on the overhead pipeat regular intervals to achieve uniform distributionof water for all the plants. B-E De Lier designs theinstallation such that all the plants are irrigated uniformlyand in most efficient manner, thus savingenergy and water for the grower. For examplehighly critical and delicate crops and young plantplugs require an installation design, which can offerdistribution uniformity of at least 85% to 90%.Where as less critical and hardy plants like woodyornamentals placed in large containers will performwell with a raining system which ahs a distributionuniformity of 75% to 80%. Misting and Fogging SystemIt is critical to ensure that your plants are growing ina stress free environment by supplementing themwith proper temperature and humidity levels in thegreenhouses and propagation nurseries. B-E DeLier’s high pressure fogging system offers a cost effectiveand versatile way of achieving this.B-E De Lier’s fogging systems work at very highpressures of around 100 bars, producing fine dropletsof around 10 microns, which gives optimalgreenhouse cooling and temperature control. Thefine droplets of water cools the air and the cool airtravels down to the crop level, to be replaced by thehot air rising. Convection based air circulation ensureseven temperature distribution throughout thecrop without the need for fans to stir and distributethe cooler air around the greenhouse. Fogging systemsare one of the most effective methods for uniformgreenhouse cooling and can achieve temperaturedrops up to 10 o C. B-E De Lier’s fogging systemcan easily achieve humidity levels inside the greenhousefrom 50% to 90%. Nutrient Film Technique (NFT)B-E De Lier provides NFT hydroponic irrigation solutionmainly for growing vegetables and salads. NFTsystem is a soilless cultivation technique in whichroots do not need any support medium to grow. Theroots grow inside a sloping irrigation channel, whichis fed by a continuous or intermittent flow of nutrientrich water. The nutrient solution is fed throughan inlet pipe at one end of the channel and allowedto flow over the roots of the plants. The nutrientsolution is then drained back into the nutrient reservoirwhere it will be enriched again and pumpedback into the channel system to repeat the irrigationprocess. Depending on the plant requirement thesystem can be designed nutrient feed cycle can beregulated to be either continuous or intermittentflow with help of a timer and simple computer controlsystem.B-E De Lier’s NFT systems are popular among thesalad vegetable growers.
