September 14, 1949The number of, students in attendance on the Norman Campus of theUniversity of Oklahoma for the school term beginning September, 1948 was12,161; the'number'of students in attendance during the-summer session of1949, including the eight-week session, two law sessions of six weeks eachand the August intersession was 5,141. The estimated number of studentsexpected on the Norman Campus for the fall semester of 1949 is 12,000.The Board of Governors of the Oklahoma Student Union is a nonprofitcorporation and is organized for the purpose of operating the StudentUnion Building for the benefit of the students attending the. Universityof Oklahoma.
