Furthermore, Regulation 401/2006EC 10 (as amendedby Regulation 178/2010/EU 6 ) lays down methods for sampling and analysis, thereby defining some methodperformance criteria (i.e. minimum recovery rate, maximum reproducibility, restrictions with respect to the expandedanalytical uncertainty). The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has adopted an opinion on ochratoxin A infood on April 4 th 2006 7 and June 4 th 2010 8 . The Commission is currently considering the need to introducemaximum limits for ochratoxin A in other foods not currently included in the legislation. As for qualitative kits, theywere checked against the AOAC requirements and the USDA/GIPSA/FGIS directives 9181.2 9 as well as Regulation401/2006/EC 10 .
