Standard Technical Features of BTG System for Supercritical 660/800 MW Thermal Units9.1.4 Fuel oil condensate systemCondensate from complete fuel oil plant shall be brought to a commoncondensate flash tank in fuel oil unloading area. Drain from this condensatetank shall be connected to nearest station drain.9.1.5 Oily water drain systemThe oily waste water drains from each steam generator area shall be collectedand suitably treated in an oil separator. The treated outlet water shall not haveoil content more than 10 ppm. The recovered oil from oil separators shall beled to drain oil tanks/ waste oil collection tanks. Separated water shall bepumped to effluent treatment plant (outside BTG area) using sump pumps.9.2 Fuel Oil Preparation and Firing System9.2.1 The fuel oil preparation and firing system shall be sized based on followingcriteria:Descriptioni) Purpose of fuel oilfiringHeavy oil firingInitial start up, coalflame stabilization atstart up/ low load.ii) Type of fuel oil Heavy fuel oil (HFO/HPS/ LSHS).iii) Oil firing system To cater to 30%capacityBMCR requirements ofsteam generatorswithout any coal firing.iv) Oil firing system Common for all steamconfiguration generators.RequirementLDO firingTo facilitate cold stratup of unit.Light diesel oil (LDO).To cater to 7.5%BMCR requirements ofsteam generatorswithout any coal firing.Common for all steamgenerators.9.2.2 Design/ sizing of various pump shall be based on following criteria:Design criteriai) Type of fueloil to behandledii) Pumpsuctiontemp.iii) Max. temp.of fuel oil tobe handledRequirementsHFO pumps LDO pumps DrainpumpsHFO/HPS/ LDO HFO/HPS/LSHSLSHSOil pourpointtemperatureAmbientOil pourpointtemperatureSumppumpsOil & waterAmbient90 0 C Atmospheric 90 0 C 50- 85 0 C74
