<strong>Standard</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>Features</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>BTG</strong> <strong>System</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Supercritical</strong> <strong>660</strong>/800 MW Thermal Units17.3.7 Flame viewing systemi) The boiler shall be provided with a flame viewing system. The flamecameras shall be suitable <strong>for</strong> direct online continuous viewing in thecentral control room <strong>of</strong> the coal and oil flame. The numbers <strong>of</strong> flamecameras to be provided shall be appropriate as per boiler design subjectto minimum <strong>of</strong> two (2) numbers <strong>for</strong> each boiler.The facilities/ components <strong>of</strong> flame camera system shall, as aminimum, consist <strong>of</strong> 19" high resolution color monitor with facility <strong>for</strong>zooming and adjustment <strong>of</strong> iris from the monitor, all necessary remote/local programming tool, proper cooling arrangement (preferably air)and protection against cooling medium failure.ii)The cameras and the total system shall be suitable <strong>for</strong> the fuel beingfired considering the ash content <strong>of</strong> worst coal. The cameras shall beable to withstand the temperature expected in the furnace but shall notbe less than 1600 0 C.iii) The viewing angle <strong>of</strong> the camera shall be commensurate with thefurnace size, the camera location and the positioning <strong>of</strong> the burners.The system shall con<strong>for</strong>m to PAL and number <strong>of</strong> TV lines shall beadequate <strong>for</strong> a clear image <strong>of</strong> the furnace.iv)The <strong>of</strong>fered flame camera system shall have a record <strong>of</strong> trouble freeper<strong>for</strong>mance <strong>of</strong> minimum one (1) year in a coal-fired boiler <strong>of</strong> size 500MW or above where the firing arrangement is similar to the <strong>of</strong>feredboiler.17.3.8 Separator vessel/ drain level control and monitoring systemThe system shall comprise <strong>of</strong> triple redundant electronics transmitters <strong>for</strong>separator level and pressure measurements along with all the required controlvalves & actuators & other accessories. Atleast eight (8) Nos. thermocouplesshall be provided <strong>for</strong> separator metal temperature measurements. Further, ifthe separator materials call <strong>for</strong> stress evaluation <strong>of</strong> separator, the provision<strong>for</strong> same shall also be provided.17.3.9 Acoustic steam leak detection (ASLD) systemi) PC based Acoustic Steam Leak Detection system shall be providedwith Air Borne Sensors including all Signal amplifiers, calibrators,signal processing hardware and s<strong>of</strong>tware, power supply distributioncables, Instrumentation cables <strong>for</strong> the entire system including specialcables. junction boxes, all erection hardware etc. Minimum thirty (30)number sensors shall be provided. It shall be possible to per<strong>for</strong>mcalibration <strong>of</strong> sensors without disconnecting the sensor.165
