<strong>Standard</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>Features</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>BTG</strong> <strong>System</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Supercritical</strong> <strong>660</strong>/800 MW Thermal Units17.3.5 Acoustic pyrometers (if applicable as per OEM practice)i) Acoustic pyrometers are to be provided to determine the average fluegas temperatures and complete flue gas temperature pr<strong>of</strong>ile at furnaceexit plane (<strong>for</strong> FEGT measurements) and at economiser outlet.ii)iii)iv)For each temperature measurement plan/section, a PC based systemcomplete with all required s<strong>of</strong>tware, comprising <strong>of</strong> minimum eight nos.<strong>of</strong> acoustic transreceivers, signal processor, interface unit, PC & colourInkjet printer (common <strong>for</strong> one unit) shall be provided. The systemshall be able to eliminate the varying high noise environment both inand out <strong>of</strong> an operating boiler.The transit time <strong>of</strong> each <strong>of</strong> the associated transmitters/receivers shall betransmitted to the central processing unit (to be located at CER) <strong>for</strong>storage and analysis through suitable interface device. A temperaturepr<strong>of</strong>ile shall then be determined and displayed by analysing the meantemperature across every transit section using deconvolution technique.The time interval to take a complete cycle <strong>of</strong> eight transceivers shall beless than one minute.The measuring range shall be sufficient to cover the entire regime <strong>of</strong>boiler operation and shall not be less than 1900°C. The meantemperature and pr<strong>of</strong>ile temperature accuracy shall be ± 2%, and ± 4%<strong>of</strong> reading respectively or better. Full colour VDU display and colourprinter output shall be provided. The system shall also provide 4-20mADC output <strong>for</strong> SG -C&I and BOP- C&I part <strong>of</strong> DDCMIS.v) The transducers shall not be placed directly in the hot gas stream. Thesystem shall be <strong>of</strong> proven design and it's per<strong>for</strong>mance must be provenusing similar type <strong>of</strong> fuel. The components to be located at boiler areashall be able to withstand the stringent environmental conditionexpected at such locations with operating boiler.17.3.6 Mill and air heater fire detection systemi) Adequate number <strong>of</strong> thermocouples type fire detection system <strong>for</strong> eachmill and air heater shall be provided as a composite and complete unitswith all required signals and accessories with adequate redundancy.ii)The controls & protection required <strong>for</strong> the mill fire detection systemshall be implemented in the SG-C&I and air heater fire detectionsystem shall be implemented in the BOP -C&I Part <strong>of</strong> DDCMIS usingrate-<strong>of</strong>-rise algorithm as per manufacturer's recommendation.164
