<strong>Standard</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>Features</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>BTG</strong> <strong>System</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Supercritical</strong> <strong>660</strong>/800 MW Thermal Unitsii)iii)MMIPIS Program Development/ Modification and <strong>System</strong> MaintenanceFacilitiesStandalone online system shall be provided <strong>for</strong> programmedevelopment/modification to achieve various functions includingdevelopment, modification and testing <strong>of</strong> s<strong>of</strong>tware <strong>of</strong> MMIPIS,generation and modification <strong>of</strong> graphics, logs, HSRS functions in aninteractive manner, MMIPIS database modification/creations,downloading the s<strong>of</strong>tware with associated data base from the consoleand other features necessary <strong>for</strong> system maintenance. All operatorfunctions shall also be available on MMIPIS programmer station.<strong>System</strong> Documentation FacilityThe system shall have the facility to generate the associateddocumentation <strong>for</strong> both the control system & MMIPIS. The documents,to be generated by the system shall include P&ID drawings, control loopdrawings, sequence drawings, signal distribution list/drawings, systeminterconnection drawings, cabinets general arrangement drawings,measurement list, drive schedule, alarm schedule, system hardware andfunctional configuration drawings <strong>for</strong> displays, logs, trends, graphics etc.The system shall also include all required s<strong>of</strong>tware and hardware tools<strong>for</strong> creating, modifying and printing CAD drawings to achieve paperlessdocumentation <strong>for</strong> DDCMIS.17.2.9 Data communication system (DCS)The data communication system shall be provided <strong>for</strong> communication betweencontrol system and MMIPIS communication and signal exchange betweenvarious functional groups as well as communication between various units &<strong>of</strong>f site / <strong>of</strong>f line systems.i) The DCS shall include a redundant main system bus and local systembuses <strong>for</strong> major subsystems with hot back-up and other applicable bussystems like cubicle bus, local bus, I/O bus etc except back plane whichcan be non- redundant. The DCS shall have the following minimumfeatures:a) Redundant communication controllers/ communication ports shallbe provided to handle the communication between each functionalgroup <strong>of</strong> controllers <strong>of</strong> control system and the system bus. Anyfailure or physical removal <strong>of</strong> any station/module connected to thesystem bus shall not result in loss <strong>of</strong> any communication function toand from any other station/module.b) Built-in diagnostics shall be provided <strong>for</strong> easy fault detection.Communication error detection and correction facility shall beprovided at all levels <strong>of</strong> communication. Failure <strong>of</strong> one bus andchangeover to the standby system bus shall be automatic andcompletely bumpless and the same shall be suitably alarmed andlogged.159
