Standard Technical Features of BTG System for Supercritical 660/800 MW Thermal Unitselevations shall be modulated on fuel oil pressure signal whereas theauxiliary air dampers at all other elevations shall be modulated tomaintain the wind box to furnace differential pressure.c) In order to limit the NOx content in flue gas, SADC shall alsoinclude the control of over-fire dampers (if provided). The secondaryair damper controls and necessary interlocks to modulate or toopen/close shall be incorporated as per the requirements of the boilerdesign.d) Individual position transmitters are to be provided for each of thesecondary air dampers and the same shall be connected to SADCSystem.iv)Auxiliary Pressure Reducing and De-superheating Station (Aux. PRDS)Control Systema) Auxiliary PRDS control system shall be provided to control the lowcapacity PRDS (with steam tapping off from CRH line) and the highcapacity PRDS (with steam tapping off from MS line) and coordinatetheir operation under all regimes of unit/plant operation.b) Each of the aux. PRDS units (i.e. low capacity PRDS and highcapacity PRDS) shall be provided with automatic control loops forsteam pressure control, steam temperature control and spray waterpressure control. However, facility for remote manual control shallalso be provided for operation in case the automatic control fails. Thesignals for steam pressure and temperature control shall be takenfrom the down-streams of pressure reducing valve and desuperheatingstation respectively and their set points shall beadjustable. The spray water pressure control shall regulate thepressure upstreams to the temperature control valve and also basedon feed forward signal from steam temperature control.v) Soot Blower Control System (SBCS)a) The soot blowing system shall be fully automatic & sequentiallycontrolled through SG C&I control system. Alternately, a SMARTsoot blowing system based on heat flux sensors and flue gas exittemperature may be implemented with a fall back to sequentialcontrol, if required. The system shall be complete with provision forindividual operation of any soot blower and facility to bypass anysoot blower and shall be provided with following:1. Automatic starting of each soot blower in the system.149
