A fur<strong>the</strong>r separation <strong>of</strong> sands is made according to<strong>the</strong> prevelence <strong>of</strong> different sized sand fractions .Mediumand coarse sands may contain over 25 percent coarse sandbut not over 50 percent fine sands .sands must contain over 50 percent <strong>of</strong>Fine and very fine<strong>the</strong> respective finesand fractions .The soil textural classes are grouped according to <strong>the</strong>Canada <strong>Soil</strong> <strong>Survey</strong> Committee as follows :Coarse-textured - sands, loamy sands .Moderately coarse-textured - sandy loam, fine sandy loam .Medium-textured - very fine sandy loam,loam, silt loam,silt .Moderately fine-textured - sandy clay loam,clay loam,silty clay .loam .Fine-textured - sandy clay, silty clay, clay (40-60%) .Very fine-textured - heavy clay (more than 60% clay) .2 . SOIL STRUCTURE AND CONSISTENCE<strong>Soil</strong> structure refers to <strong>the</strong>particles into compound particles,aggregation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> primary soilor clusters <strong>of</strong> primary particles,which are separated from adjoining aggregates by surfaces <strong>of</strong> weakness .The aggregates differ in grade <strong>of</strong> development (degree <strong>of</strong> distinctness)as follows : weak, moderate, and strong . They vary in class (size) asfollows : very fine, fine, medium, coarse, and very coarse .
