You must have taught successfully in the area of adjudication for five years.2. You must attend an adjudicator’s certification clinic session.3. You must be recommended, in writing, to the IHSMA office by two peoplecurrently on the “Approved” adjudicator listing.ADJUDICATOR CERTIFICATION CLINICSAdjudicator Certification Clinics, sponsored by the Iowa High School Music Association,will be conducted as follows:InstrumentalVocalCherokee Monday-August 30 Monday-November 29Clarion Thursday-September 2 Thursday-December 2Oelwein Tuesday-September 7 Monday-December 6Washington Thursday-September 9 Thursday-December 9Indianola Monday-September 13 Monday-December 13Atlantic Thursday-September 16 Thursday-December 16All sessions will be at the high school in the respective community beginning at 7:00 p.m.Sessions will last approximately 2 hours.Registration for attendance must be by telephone ONLY. Call the Association office(515-432-2013), ask for Jeanie, to reserve a place at the session you have chosen toattend. This must be done by August 16 for instrumental adjudicators and by November15 for vocal adjudicators.A site will not open if less than five (5) people register. If a site will not open because ofinsufficient registrations, we will attempt to schedule you into a nearby site on a differentdate.APPROVED ADJUDICATORS - JULY 1, 1999The following are listed as “approved” adjudicators as of July 1, 1999. “Approved” status expiresat the end of the calendar year preceding each name.
