Theirst half resulted in the Flames bombardingthe Asheville 2 defense andoalie with numerous shots on goal.Jeremy "Scrappy" Parkereven managed to 'scrap' one into thenet, only to have it called back forplaying from the ground. Not to beeld back, the Flames kept pushing ofensivelyto allow Russell Bigmeat tocore.Backup goalie Eli Littlejohnstepped in to allow Kenzie Garcia toplay the field. Littlejohn shut any attemptson goal down, to keep the scoreat 1-0 for the Flames at the end of thefirst half.With Kenzie Garcia and DariusThompson controlling from midfield,Storm Ledford and Wade Wolfeholding down defense, attackers ChaytonThompson, Bigmeat and"Scrappy" Parker took over the game.Chayton fired a shot from theright side, that the Asheville 2 goaliejust couldn't handle. Not to be outdoneby his own brother, Darius Thompsontook the ball from midfield and fired ashot from the left side of the field,leaving the Asheville 2 goalie stunned.Although not as experiencedin that position, Driver Blythe bravedthe role as goalie for the second halfand the Asheville 2 team managed toscore two goals.
