Inhis spare time, Vance enjoys hunting,fishing and pretty much anything outside.Annee EnsleyAnnette is a National Registry Paramedic.She has been with CTEMS for 8years and has been in EMS for 11 years,also working for Swain County EMS.Originally from Andrews, she currentlylives in Robbinsville with her husband,also a paramedic with CTEMS, 2 children,a foreign exchange student, 17horses, 1 mule, 45 chickens, 5 dogs and 5cats. They also have 2 children no longerat home and 1 grandchild. In her sparetime, Annette enjoys horseback riding,civil war reenactments, camping andhelping teach disabled kids to ridehorses.Shane McConnellShane is a Critical Care Paramedic. Hehas been with CTEMS for 11 years andalso works for Macon County EMS. Hestarted in EMS in 1992. Shane served inthe Army for 6 years and during thattime, was deployed to Iraq. The <strong>Cherokee</strong> Police Departmentalso provided a Crash simulator whichsimulated a crash at five miles an hour.Many students got to experiencethe crash and were fascinated how muchforce was exerted on their body.
