Section 13: Assembling and Installingthe Fuel TankParts Needed• Clunk (Fuel Pickup)• Tube (vent)• Tube (fuel )• Silicon fuel tubing• Fuel tank• Plastic cap (large)• Plastic cap (small)• Rubber stopper• 3 mm screw• 3 mm nutTools and Adhesives Needed• Hobby knife with #11 blade• Phillips screwdriver• Tubing bender (optional)• Tubing cutter (optional)Step 1. Locate the fuel tank parts.Step 3. Locate the other tube. This will be the vent tube. Bendone end up about 60 degrees but no more than 90 degrees.Caution: You can use your fingers to bend the tubing, but becareful not to kink the tubing. If you have access to a smalltubing bender, use it to make the bend. Refer to photo below.Step 2. Locate the rubber stopper. Insert on of the tubes into anopen hole in the stopper so an equal amount of tubing extendsfrom each side of the stopper. This tube will be the fuel pickuptube that provides fuel to the engine. Slide the smaller plasticcap onto the tube at one end, so that the three tabs will faceinside the tank. (These tabs will hold the 3mm nut in place later.)Slide the large plastic cap over the tube and against the rubberstopper. It should be orientated so that the “raised center” facesaway from the stopper.Step 4. Slide the vent tube into the other open hole in thestopper and caps.Note: An option is to trim the length of the vent and fuel pickuptubes with a tubing cutter. This makes a neater job.30
