Therefore, in order to beconsidered a “resident” in our registration process, you must liveor work within the Delaware City limits or be the spouse or child(17 years or younger) of such a person living in the samehousehold. “Non-resident” applies to all others. Even though youmay live in the 43015 zip code or within the Delaware City SchoolDistrict, you may not live within the Delaware City limits. We askfor your understanding when registering.Non-residents do not contribute to Delaware City servicesfinancially through taxes and therefore will pay the full class rate.In order to receive the Discounted Resident Rate, residents will berequired to present current identification such as a valid driver’slicense, recent utility bill, or recent check stub showing DelawareCity income tax withheld.Refund Policy1) A full refund will be made automatically when:a) Class enrollment has reached the maximumb) Classes are cancelled by the Parks & Recreation Office.c) Upon written request, when the schedule or location ischanged by the city prohibiting or limiting your attendance.2) Refunds will be issued at 90%, upon written request, foron-going programs if received 7 days before the start of theclass/activity. Written requests received less than 7 daysbefore the start of class/activity will be refunded at 50%.No refunds will be issued after the second meeting of theclass/activity.3) Requests for refunds will not be accepted for one-dayprograms after the program has taken place; for lateregistration fees; or season memberships to Jack FlorancePool or Hidden Valley Golf Course.4) Please allow 2-4 weeks for refunds to be processed andmailed.5) Refunds are not always possible for pre-purchased goods(uniforms, reservations, transportation, deposits, etc.)6) We will accept written requests for refunds where specialcircumstances and hardships warrant consideration.Program ScholarshipsThe Parks & Recreation Department provides 50% scholarships onyouth registration only for designated programs (noted with an (*)throughout the brochure). Requests must be in writing andeligibility verified. Call the Parks & Recreation Office at 203-1450for more details or visit our webpage at www.delawareohio.net toprint out a Scholarship Eligibility verification form.Liability ReleaseI/we the parent/guardian of the above child, release theCity of Delaware, their employees, agents, officers, andservants of any risks and hazards incidental to the above activity;and hereby forever release, waive and relinquish the DelawareParks & Recreation Department and the City of Delaware, itsinstructors and supervisors and all other persons assisting in theconduct of said activities to the participant.
