<strong>XR1045</strong>Operator CabOptional Controls and IndicatorsTwo Wheel Rear (2WR) Steering SwitchA Two Wheel Rear (2WR) Steering switch is used to engageand disengage the optional rear wheel steering feature.Boom Extend LettersAs the boom is extended, boom extend letters appear onthe left side of the boom visible to the operator. Theseletters indicate boom extension as it corresponds to theload capacity charts.Figure 6-40. Two Wheel Rear (2WR) Steering Switch.Figure 6-42. Boom Extend Letters. WarningDO NOT change steering modes until the forklift slowsor comes to a complete stop. Align all four (4) wheelsperpendicular to the axle, before changing steeringmode. Changing steering modes at higher travelspeeds can make the forklift unstable, and cause a lossof control, which could result in death, serious injury,or property damage.Frame Level IndicatorThe frame level indicator is mounted on the upper rightcorner of the operator’s cab. The frame level indicatorallows the operator to view if the forklift has beenpositioned in a level condition. Always frame sway theforklift right or left until the indicator shows 0° (level).Boom Angle IndicatorThe boom angle indicator is located on the left side ofthe boom and is visible from the operator’s seat. Usethe boom angle indicator to determine the boom anglewhen referring to load capacity charts. Refer to theLoad Capacity Charts section of this manual for moreinformation.NOTE: The boom angle indicator is a plumb arrow withangular graduations from -5 to +70°.Figure 6-43.
