Based on average wagerates for Sefton, this equates to an investmentof around £2.6 million in Sefton organisationsby volunteers over the 12–month period.Vicky Keeley, Sefton CVS volunteer andcitizenship lead, said: “This annual event is afantastic way for us to acknowledge andcelebrate the hard work of volunteersthroughout the borough over the last year.“Volunteering is an opportunity for anyone tomake a contribution – to give their time, nomatter how little it is, no matter how young orold they are, where they come from or whattheir background is.
