JSS Medical College, is located in a sprawling 43 acre campus in Sri ShivarathreeshwaraNagara, Mysore City, which is about 140 Km from Bangalore. The city is famed for itseducational institutions, salubrious climate and beautiful gardens. The college whichwas started in 1984 has been designed and equipped for dispensation of qualitymedical education. CONDUCT OF JSSU - PGET - 2013:• The examination will be conducted at the different cities in the designatedexamination centers between 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm on 19.01.2013. Thecandidates must report to the centre at least one (1) hour before the scheduledtime of commencement of the test.• Special procedures like Biometric analysis and Photo- identification toauthenticate the identity of students will be undertaken.• THE EXAMINATION HALL WILL BE OPENED 45 MINUTES BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT OFTHE TEST. CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTED TO TAKE THEIR SEATS AT LEAST 30 MINUTESBEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE EXAMINATION. IF THE CANDIDATES DO NOTREPORT IN TIME, THEY ARE LIKELY TO MISS SOME OF THE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONSWHICH WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN THE EXAMINATION HALL.• CANDIDATE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR FOR THE TEST IF HE/SHE IS LATE BY 15MINUTES OR MORE AFTER THE START OF THE EXAMINATION.• The Candidate must bring TAT card & show the same on demand for admissionto the examination hall. A candidate, who does not have the TAT Card issued bythe JSS University, will not be admitted to the examination hall under anycircumstances. They shall also carry with them the original Photo ID issued byCentral / State Government (e.g. passport/voters card/pan card/drivinglicense)and a photocopy of the same.• A seat with a number will be allotted to each candidate in the examination hall.• A candidate will not be allowed to carry any pen, pencil and box, textualmaterial, printed or hand written chits or any other material except the TAT Cardinside the examination hall. Candidates will not be permitted to bringcalculators, slide rules, Clark tables, and electronic watches with facilities ofcalculators, laptop computers, personal stereo systems, walkie-talkie set, pagingdevices, mobile telephones and any other objects/devices in the examinationhall. Possession or use of such devices during the examination is prohibited &candidate is liable to be expelled if found using or possessing them.• No Candidates will be allowed to go outside the examination hall till thecompletion of the entire duration of test. Once the candidate leaves the hall28

(even for answering a call of nature) he/she will not be readmitted toexamination hall. No exception will be made in this regard.• Parents, relatives or friends of the candidates will not be allowed to enter into thepremises of the centre. No arrangement will be made for tea, snacks etc. for thestudents or parents.• Candidates should maintain perfect silence & discipline in the examination hall.Any conversation, gesticulation or disturbance in the examination hall shall beconsidered as misconduct / malpractice & the candidates involved in suchbehavior will be expelled from the examination hall. Similarly, if any candidate isfound using unfair means or allowing someone else to impersonate him/ her,his/her candidature at the examination will be instantaneously cancelled andthe matter informed to the nearest police station.• During the time of the test, the invigilator will check the TAT Cards of thecandidates to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate. Thecandidate will sign in the place provided in the answer sheet in the presence ofthe invigilator. The invigilator will also put his / her signature in the place providedin the Answer Sheet.• After completing the test & before handing over the Test Booklet & Answer Sheetback to the invigilator, the candidate should check once again to see whetherall the particulars required in the Answer Sheet have been correctly written. Heshould ensure that the Roll Number, Centre and the Test Booklet number arecorrectly written on the answer sheet.• A warning bell will ring at the beginning of the test & also to mark the halftime ofthe of the test. A bell will also ring before the closing time when the candidatemust stop marking the responses or writing.• The JSSU PGET - 2013 test administration is timed. The test session is designed tobe completed within 180 minutes as indicated in this brochure and nocompromise will be made on the set time limits. The Chief Superintendent of thetest centre is the official timekeeper. Candidates will not be permitted tocontinue the test beyond the scheduled time limit.29

GROUNDS FOR DISMISSALSThe JSSU PGET - 2013 test administrator is authorized to dismiss a candidate from the testsession for:1. Attempting to take the test for someone else.2. Failing to provide acceptable identification when asked for.3. Creating disturbance at the test venue.4. Giving or receiving unauthorized help.5. Giving personal identification mark in answer sheet.6. Eating or drinking during the test.7. Using any forbidden/unauthorized testing aids, such as personal computationaldevices, pagers, cell phones, calculators, slide rules, log tables, etc.8. Attempting to remove scratch paper/rough sheets from the testingRoom/question booklet.9. Attempting to remove test questions (in any format) from the testing room.10. Failing to adhere to any of the other procedures and regulations cited.11. COUNSELLING AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE:• The counseling sessions will be conducted at JSS University, SriShivarathreeshwara Nagar, Mysore – 570 015, Karnataka. Open counseling shallbe conducted in a transparent way in the auditorium after scrutinizing all theOriginal documents and also making use of Biometric verification and Photoidentificationof the candidates. FAILURE TO REPORT FOR COUNSELLING ON THESCHEDULED DATE AND TIME WILL RESULT IN INSTANTANEOUS CANCELLATION OFCLAIM OF THE CANDIDATE TO THE SEAT. It shall be candidate’s responsibility tosee the result of JSSU PGET - 2013.• The Merit list, counselling process, venue, date & time and other details will bemade available on the website: www.jssuni.edu.in• Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and numberof seats available.• The candidate should remain physically present for the counseling and for onthe-spot-admission,as per schedule, even if he / she fails to receive anyinformation letter, for any reason from the University by keeping updated withthe information provided on the University website.• Only the candidate and one of his parents / guardian will be allowed into thehall where counseling is held. the candidate fails to produce all or any of the documents listed, he / she willinstantaneously forfeit his / her claim for a seat.• The candidates in the merit list prepared by JSS University, Mysore, on the basis ofmarks obtained by them in JSSU PGET - 2013 will be called as per their ranks forcounseling and offered on-the-spot admission to the various courses andcolleges.• If a candidate wants to take back his/her original certificates after he/she isallotted a seat in the counseling, he/she may do so after submitting anundertaking stating that he/she will resubmit the same on said date by thecounselling committee, failing which his/her allotted seat will be cancelled andthe resulting vacancy will be declared for allotment in the next round ofcounseling.• The selected candidate will be required to pay the entire amount of annual feeon the day of counseling itself. (Through Bank Draft drawn in the name of forMedical - “The Principal, JSS Medical College, Mysore”, payable at Mysore orfor Dental - “The Principal, JSS Dental College, Mysore”, Payableat Mysore. Incase the candidate fails to remit the entire amount of fees, he/she is likely to losehis/her claim for admission to that seat.• Hostel facility is available both for boys and girls. WAIT LIST• When all the seats in a given course/s are filled, candidates may choose to bewaitlisted.
