UNIT 44: VOCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL CAREThe unit provides opportunities for the production of evidence towards the Level 3key skills in communication, improving own learning and performance and workingwith others.Essential resourcesThe following resources are considered essential for the delivery of this unit:• an appropriately qualified tutor — a qualified assessor or internal verifier withappropriate vocational experience will be an asset in the delivery of this unit• a minimum of 200 hours of work experience is required for the successfulcompletion of this unit — it is recommended that this is divided between at leastthree different placements — this time is additional to the work experiencerequired for Unit 6: Personal and Professional Development in Health and SocialCare• library resources with key texts and other reference materials.In addition, the following resources are considered to be highly valuable:• leaflets/DVDs on learner safety from the Learning and Skills Council.Indicative reading for learnersThere are many resources available to support this unit.
