Energy Measurement and ManagementT37...Three-PhaseMeter

T37...APPLICATIONThe electricity meter type T37 is suitable for measuring active energyfor direct connection in three-phase three- or four-wire networks atbalanced or nonbalanced load.RATINGSThe measuring-technical characteristics comply with I.E.C. Publication521-l988, and other national standards, such as SS 406 01 06,VDE 0418, BS 5685.The accuracy class is 2.DESIGNThe following versions of meters are manufactured:Type T37C for 400 % current loadingType T37E for 500 % current loadingType T37F for 600 % current loadingType T37L for 800 % current loadingAdditional marking designates as follows:D : double tariff type meter (T37CD)-5 : meter with inductive pulser (T37C-5)-9 : meter with optoelectronic pulser (T37F-9)2 : meter with magnetic bearing (T37E2)23CONSTRUCTIONMeter Baseis made of bakelite, highly resistantto creep current. A suspensionhook is fastened to it. Itallows different affixing dimensionsof the meter with a screwoutside the case or under it. Theholding stirrup on the lower partof the base is fastened to it witha pin, connecting the base withexchangeable terminal block.Meter Coveris made of bakelite or transparentthermoplastic material.Bakelite Coverhas a glass window at the frontside. The window is sealed withsilicon sealant from the internalside and is fastened with selflockingelastic washers. Thecover is fastened to the basewith two sealing screws so thatbetter sealing between the coverand the base is attained. Duringthe calibration the covers canbe hanged on the meter basewithout screwing.Transparent Coveris made of transparent thermoplasticmaterial, resistant toshocks, and strengthened withribs on the inner side. The coveris fastened to the base with twosealing screws, so that sealingis possible irrespective of theposition of the terminal blockcover. In the cover rabbet there is asolid rubber gasket meeting alldustproof requirements, andenabling the cover to besmoothly placed on the base.During the calibration the covercan be hanged on the meterbase.564781SETTING ELEMENTS1 – sensitivity adjustment2 – coarse adjustment of number of revolutions3 – fine adjustment of number of revolutions4 – adjustment of small loads5 – coarse phase adjustment6 – fine phase adjustment7 – balance of torques of driving elements8 – reverse phase sequence adjustment

T37...registration changes in respectof temperature variations in awide temperature range.RotorThe two-disc rotor is made fromaluminium sheet selected for itsconductivity and purity. It is freefrom particles of ferrous metal. The upper disc has a markwhich helps count the revolutionson the disc for testing purposes. On special request it canalso be marked by a 400-divisionpattern for stroboscopictesting. The Lower Bearingis of two-cup or magnetic type. The two-cup bearing.Between two sapphire cups liesa polished steel ball, protectedagainst corrosion by a thin layerof good quality oil. Initial frictionis insignificant, and the bearinghas a long life. The bearingassembly is fastened with springto prevent damage during transportation, and to enable a simpleexchange of the rotor bypushing the bearing assemblyonly, without any readjustment. The magnetic bearingThe temperature compensatedmagnetic bearing has two magneticparts with equally polarisedadjacent surfaces. Due to themutually repelling forcesbetween the two magnetic surfacesand the rotor weight, therotor magnet floats at a distancefrom the stator magnet. The rotor is guided by a highlypolished spindle which projectsfrom the lower part of the bearinginto the upper part, its upperpin acting as an armature. Thestainless steel spindle runs in agraphite bearing sleeve, makinglubrication unnecessary. The Upper Bearingis pin-like acting as an armature. The polished stainless steelspindle runs in the upper bearing, which is together with theworm made of solid thermoplasticmaterial. No lubrication isnecessary. The RegisterSingle- Rate Registerconsist of six or seven graduateddrums. The periphery of thelast drum is divided in 100 sections.Thin polished axles arerotating in plastic bearings causingminimum friction and higherror stability at small loads. Nolubrication of bearings is necessary. The register framework canbe fastened to the meter frameworkwith one screw without anadjustment plate, so that theworm and the worm wheel fiteach other completely.TYPICAL PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICLoad curves+4+2F %Balanced load-2P.F. = 1-4+4T37C (400% Ib)L.F. = 0.5+2F %Single phase load-2-4+4+2F %Balanced load-2-4+4T37E,T37F (500,600% Ib)+2F %Single phase load-2-4+4+2F %Balanced load-2-4+4T37L (800% Ib)+2F %Single phase load-2-45 20 100 200 300 400 500 600 700 800 Ib %10Error due to temperature variation+2+1F %–1–20 +10 +20 +30 +40+2+1F %–1–2–20 –10 0 +10 +20 +30 +40 +50 °C

6.16.1T37...Two versions of single-tariff registerare produced: a registerwith standard digit drum with thesize of numbers 4,7x2,3 mm anda register with larger digit drumwith size of numbers6,9x3,65 mm.Two- Rate Registerhas six or seven digits for eachtariff. The rear register circumferenceis divided in 100 sections. The tariff switchover is enabledby a change-over relay functioningvia differential gear. Thus theregister display error atswitchover from the first to thesecond tariff and vice-versa iseliminated. The change-overrelay is a D.C. version suppliedvia the incorporated rectifier andprotective resistor.Adjustment Devicesare placed at the outside of individualdriving systems. They areeasily accessible, the settingrange is wide enough, theirinteraction is minimal. Adjustmentis partially manual, andpartialy done with a screw-driver.Meter connectionNormal or reverse phasesequence connection to themeter does not effect no-loadrunning between 80% to 110 %reference voltage.6.256.51.51368623302302021428.514040215014.5 15187 x 14.5 = 101.5 1117742.56.51.513423302042306.2568144861404015014.5 15182ASSEMBLING DATA FOR METER WITH TRANSPARENT COVERASSEMBLING DATA FOR METER WITH BAKELITE COVER948.57 x 14.5 = 101.5 1117742.5
