Students will be introduced tothe Mt Magnet community by CUCRHstaff and the various health servicesprovided such as GRAMS, WACHSvisiting specialist services, Bidi Bidi EarlyChildhood Development and ParentingProgram, the Mt Magnet Primary Schooland community support services.Students will be engaged in healthpromotion, clinical assessment,development and implementation ofcommunity health programs as wellas working with the health teamsestablished in Mt Magnet and thesurrounding area.Added to this, students will be allocateda cultural mentor, a local supportperson who has strong ties with bothcommunity and country.This is a unique placement that willpositively challenge students clinically,as well as provide an experience ofIndigenous culture they might not havehad the opportunity to experience before.
