2013–2014 Biennial Budget <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Tukwila</strong>, WashingtonGoals & AccomplishmentsDEPARTMENT: Public Works DIVISION: 01/02/98FUND: Water FUND NUMBER: 401RESPONSIBLE MANAGER: Bob GibersonPOSITION: DirectorDescriptionThe mission <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Water Utility is to operate and maintain a water distribution system that will provideresidential, commercial, and industrial customers with high water quality, adequate capacity andpressure, at economical costs. The system distributes, on an annual basis, approximately 740 milliongallons <strong>of</strong> water through forty-one miles <strong>of</strong> water mains through approximately 2,100 meters. The WaterUtility maintains relationships with adjoining jurisdictions, cities, water districts, sewer districts, and <strong>the</strong>Washington State Department <strong>of</strong> Health.
