The course offers a taste of how the graphic design and printbased media industries operate. Students will be constructing graphic designprojects using methods such as photography, illustration, typography, layout andtraditional and modern print based techniques. These methods and techniques willbe used to design final outcomes using industry standard programmes such asAdobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design. Final project outcomes can include awide range of visual concepts such as magazine design, posters, album covers andpromotional designs.Students will also study Functional Skills English and/or Maths. Year 1 coversthe Subsidiary Diploma in Creative Media Production (Print-Based media).
