- Remove fluid reservoir cap (2), the rubber and fill the reservoirwith fresh brake fluid.- Open the bleeding valve and pump with brake lever (3) severaltimes until the fluid, clear and without bubbles, comesout of the hose: now close the bleeding valve.-- Restore the brake fluid level (A) then reassemble the rubberand the fluid reservoir cap (2).WARNING!During the bleed operation the fluid levelinside the reservoir must never be lowerthan the minimum level.Tightening torque for bleed valve is 1,2 ÷1,6 kgm (12 ÷ 16 Nm; 8.8 ÷ 11.8 ft-lb).As the braking fluid is a very corrosivesubstance, in the case it comesin contact with your eyes wash themabundantly with water.During the bleeding of the brakingcircuit keep the handlebar turnedleftwards. This is the way to lift thepump tank and to make easier the bleedingof the braking system. If the lever stroke gets stretchy andthe braking action results as poor inthe case of falls during competitions,or after repair work in shops, repeat thebleeding operation described above. As the bleeding operation does notfully eliminate the air inside the circuit, the small quantity of air remaininginside will be eliminated after ashort time of use of the brake. In this casehowever, the action of the lever will beharder and the stroke shorter.EN63
