What do the FUNCTION KEYS do?The Special Function keys described below are keyboard shortcuts, which performspecified functions within the Meditech Client Server System.Special FunctionSpecified Function to be performedKey Clears the field in the routine or exits without saving. Provides on-line information about your present prompt. + Provides on-line help for the current routine. Allows you to retrieve text and data and insert in at the location ofthe cursor. Moves the cursor forward to the next grouping of prompts. + Moves the cursor back to the previous grouping of prompts. Accesses the printing destination window and displays the currentsettings. Performs specific functions as dictated by the routine or the currentapplication you are in. + Perform specific functions as dictated by the application or routineyou are in. Displays a list of valid responses for the prompt (Look-up). From the desktop, displays the most recent menu selections in thecurrent session. From a patient screen, opens the patient’s record into the EMR.From anywhere else, opens the EMR and then you can choose thepatient from a look-up. Allows you to approve the information on the screen and proceedwith this routine. If you are in a lookup window, it allows you to selectthe highlighted item. If you are in a data entry screen, it files theinformation. If you as in a report window it allows you to print thereport.
