NVP Aimee WilkinsLoveWhatYou DoAimee Wilkins of Lake Placid, New York, enjoyed a successful real estate career butwanted more than the unpredictable frequencyof her commission checks. So when a goodfriend introduced her to Arbonne, Aimee thought shemight have found her “perfect job” ... being her ownboss, setting her own hours and creating a greatincome from her small hometown.Aimee’s family: Grace, Joe, Aimee and John. How did a city girl like me end up in the Adirondack Mountains of UpstateNew York? I fell in love with a great guy! How did a top-producingRealtor® end up selling skincare? I fell in love with an amazing companyand business opportunity! Sometimes doors open and life takes interestingand unexpected turns... be open to great opportunities!Life in Lake Placid, New York, is wonderful — if you can figure out howto make a living here. In New York City, I was a 5th Avenue departmentstore buyer. But I had trouble finding a good job when I moved to thissmall mountain town, and I eventually ended up in real estate. My commissionswere great, but they were usually several months apart. WhenI was introduced to Arbonne, I didn’t know what network marketing was,had never heard of Arbonne, had absolutely no training in this industryand had no “free” time. But what I did have was a desire to create asecond stream of consistent monthly income. This was not an easy taskliving in a small, transient Olympic village, population 3,000.Aimee with her uplines: ENVPs Stacie Pereira and Autumn Shields.“Sometimes doors open and life takesinteresting and unexpected turns...be open to great opportunities!”I had just about given up on finding that perfect job, when my closefriend and corporate attorney Kathy Cutone introduced me to Arbonne.I thought, “What a brilliant concept,” but could I be good at Arbonne?Like most of you reading this, I didn’t grow up thinking I’d sell skincare orhealth and wellness products… but... when I found this great businessopportunity, combined with a flexible schedule that I could work aroundmy job and my family’s needs, I thought, “What do I have to lose?” Ihave a business degree, I’m a successful Realtor® and figure-skatingjudge. If these other people can be successful, so can I. So I set out toAimee at ACE Awards Dinner with ENVPs Deanna Herrin, Linda Parker and Cecilia Stoll.

I now havesatellite teams all over the US and Canada. It’s amazing what you cando with a cell phone, laptop and good attitude!Kathy painted a huge picture of what was possible with Arbonne. Sheexplained time leveraging and how to work “smart not hard” by buildinga team of like-minded business partners. It’s a brilliant business model,we help others become successful and as a result we are successful. It’sa complete “win, win!” That was the light bulb moment that changed mylife. I had always worked long hours. Now, I combine my efforts with thesales efforts of my team and we all enjoy the benefits of time leveraging.By helping others get what they want, I am able to be successful myself.“It’s amazing what you can do with a cellphone, laptop and good attitude!”I quickly learned that network marketing is simply “word-of-mouth advertising.”Network marketing cuts out the “middlemen” and pays “the people”instead of “the process.” The middlemen (wholesalers, warehousers, advertisers and retailers) all add to the expense of the product. By replacingthe middleman, the large profit goes to the Independent Consultants. We all do this type of “word-of-mouth advertising” everyday. I constantlyrecommend good restaurants and movies to my friends and family. Thedifference is that the restaurant and movie theater owners don’t cut mea check for my powerfully effective recommendations. When I sell andshare our fabulous results-oriented products, Arbonne cuts me a commissioncheck, what I call a “thank you for sharing” check! By eliminating“the process” and all the middlemen, Arbonne can generously pay theirConsultants and deliver products at extremely affordable prices. If you want to be successful in this business, you need to be coachableand consistent in your efforts. That’s the secret! We all start at the sameplace, as a Consultant. We all have to step outside our comfort zone. Some of us even have to get over ourselves and our current job titles toget going. Think of it this way: We don’t only sell skincare; we also givepeople options and choices on how to live their lives. This business is somuch more than just skincare. My advice when you are getting startedis to tune out those who are uneducated on this industry. They may thinkthey are being helpful when questioning your decision to start your business, but remember, they will not be paying your child’s college tuition!I love how simple this business is. We really only have two jobs in Arbonne.First, we build a network of shoppers by redirecting the money our customersalready spend, to premium products that are healthier and/or a moreaffordable choice. Second, we build a network of Independent Consultantswhom we teach and train to build their own home-based businesses.Don’t over-complicate or over-think this business. Our system is soeasy — a brand new Consultant can sponsor a new Consultant andteach her to follow our system. If we work consistently and follow thesystem, we can promote to the top of this company and live a dreamlife. I worked Arbonne into my schedule, taking my Arbonne businesswith me wherever I went and weaving it around my already busy life.I am blessed to have a supportive family and I would like to say a specialthank you to my amazing children Grace and Joe... thank you foralways believing Mom could get it done and encouraging me over theyears. One of my goals in this journey was to make you proud and tocreate a legacy for both of you. Thanks for being such successful andindependent young adults. Your Dad and I are so very proud of you both!Arbonne husbands tend to grow with us in this business. John, you aremy rock. You know me best; you knew I would succeed and you gaveme strength and support to do so. Thank you for always encouragingme and most importantly, making me laugh! We are creating an amazingretirement plan to enjoy together... all of it... beach and lake!Commitment and consistency are the keys to success. I am so proudof each and every Consultant, District Manager and Area Manager onmy team. I want to thank each of you for your dedication and positiveattitudes. I believe in you and I’m here to help you take this business tothe top! You all make me a better person and a better leader. To my first RVP, Kim Martin, thank you for having an awesome shiny blackpatent leather bag so we could make an instant superficial connectionwhich grew into one of the most fun, real friendships I have. I love doingArbonne and life with you and I look forward to building huge empireswith you in the years to come! Arbonne attracts the most wonderfulpeople and it’s a blessing to have you in my life.➤Aimee’s Nation at Albany, NY, Impact Tour 2012.
