Body coverThere are very small differences between the body cover of a chicken <strong>and</strong>that of the pigeon.The main difference is not so clearly visible but very important in that thefeathers are not well-adapted to flight. ReproductionLike all the other birds, chickens are oviparous (lay eggs). Man uses theeggs of a large variety of birds as a commercial farming commodity.
