3. Use Raisers’ Edge to carry out a range of specialist tasks, including thepreparation of reports <strong>and</strong> mailing lists for departments within Anglia RuskinUniversity <strong>and</strong> alumni events. Analyse alumni data, producing reports to informdecisions on future alumni development strategy.4. Work closely with the Faculties <strong>and</strong> Support Services allocated by the Head ofAlumni Relations. Initiate <strong>and</strong> facilitate alumni relations growth with allocatedFaculty alumni champions.5. Responsible for the effective planning, budgeting, organisation <strong>and</strong> administrationof events with minimal supervision, travelling nationally <strong>and</strong> internationally toattend where appropriate.6. Responsible for allocated international activity, organising country-specific events<strong>and</strong> maximising the opportunity for continuing alumni engagement with AngliaRuskin University.7. Co-manage the alumni website, creating <strong>and</strong> updating pages as necessary toensure the content is up-to-date, thus increasing the frequency of alumni visits tothe site. Co-manage the transfer of magazine content to the alumni website.8. Act as an effective point of contact for all internal <strong>and</strong> graduate enquiries,providing both a timely response to queries <strong>and</strong> the highest st<strong>and</strong>ard of customerservice, ensuring client satisfaction whilst ensuring all dealings with peopleoutside the <strong>Development</strong> & Alumni <strong>Office</strong> adhere to the Data Protection Act.9. Contribute to all aspects of the production of the alumni magazine, includingidentifying, researching, writing <strong>and</strong> proof-reading articles to strict publicationdeadlines.10. Work closely with Marketing to provide case studies <strong>and</strong> alumni information forUniversity publications <strong>and</strong> copy for press releases.11. Attend internal <strong>and</strong> external training to increase skills <strong>and</strong> ensure awareness ofindustry developments <strong>and</strong> best practice.12. Responsible for h<strong>and</strong>ling cash <strong>and</strong> cheques, following appropriate financeprocedures for the safe <strong>and</strong> timely deposit of monies.13. Attend <strong>and</strong> manage a st<strong>and</strong> at Graduations, Freshers’ Fair <strong>and</strong> external events topromote awareness of the Alumni Association <strong>and</strong> its activities.14. Take minutes at meetings, as required, <strong>and</strong> distribute for further action.15. Responsible for the scheduling of appointments <strong>and</strong> replying to correspondence,h<strong>and</strong>ling telephone enquiries <strong>and</strong> dealing with other non-routine work.16. Deputise for the Head of Alumni Relations, attending meetings <strong>and</strong> giving shortpresentations as necessary.17. Assist in the promotion of Music Therapy to support the University’s fundraisingAppeal <strong>and</strong> support other fundraising initiatives, as required.18. In no way do they constitute a contract of employment.(a)SalaryGrade 4, £23,449 - £27,999 per annum paid monthly in arrears by credittransfer. Commencing salary will be determined according to qualifications<strong>and</strong> experience.(b)Hours <strong>and</strong> Time of DutyThe normal hours of work are 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) at timesas agreed with the Head of Department. If the nature of the work so requires,the jobholder may from time to time be required to attend meetings or doother work outside normal hours. Remuneration for overtime may bepayable.(c)HolidayThe holiday year runs from 1 September to 31 August. In addition to theStatutory Bank Holidays, local discretionary holidays, <strong>and</strong> days when we areclosed in the interests of efficiency, annual holiday entitlement will be 24days.
