Objectives:Basketball Development Co-ordinatorJob Description1. To develop basketball across the LIVING SPORT area as measured by an increase inthe number of people participating in the game and an improvement in participantsatisfaction.2. To implement Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s Basketball Development Planobjectives. This will involve working directly with affiliated basketball clubs as well ascolleagues within the England Basketball, Local Authorities and School SportPartnerships.Proposed Key Tasks:• Work with local partners to establish a comprehensive list of facilities within the Areaand their capacity for increasing basketball delivery• To increase regular basketball playing opportunities for people of all ages, primarily byorganising weekly competitions.• To increase participation as measured (a) by affiliated players, coaches, officials,volunteers, schools and clubs, and (b) by Sport England’s Active People survey (16+).• To work with and support affiliated basketball clubs in order to improve quality andincrease the number accredited with Sport EnglandEngland Basketball Clubmark aswell as the number of participants within those clubs.• To work with the Competition Manager Team and FESCo’s to organise regular intraand inter school competition, prioritising the 16 – 19 age group• To increase the number and improve the quality of formal SSP – Club and School –Club Links• To improve the quality of affiliated coaches and officials• To promote the recognition, recruitment, retention and training of volunteers aligned toaffiliated clubs associations and leagues.• To maintain a database of key personnel within the CSP, Local Authorities and SSPs.

• To liaise with and support all key partners by providing advice or assisting with directcommunication links to specialist staff members at <strong>England</strong> <strong>Basketball</strong>.• To ensure that <strong>England</strong> <strong>Basketball</strong>’s policies on equality, equity, diversity and childprotection underpin all areas of activity within <strong>the</strong> sport.
