Teammates Olivia Olesiak and Allie Bey, also both juniors, placed13th and 29th, respectively, among the field of 32.<strong>Forest</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> was one of only three high schools inthe state to qualify as many as three divers for thestate tournament. The other two schools wereWayzata and Maple Grove.Ramberg's score in the finals was 418.05, and shefinished behind Jenna Karrow of East Ridge(453.10) and Emily Bonfig of Woodbury (425.65) toclaim third over<strong>all</strong>. BobDemmer. A representative from the Minnesota Department of Educationhas also attended this forum, as have several local mayors, city councilmembers and school board members.The event is free and open to the public.FFA selling poinsettias again this yearSuccess StoriesonlineThe <strong>Forest</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Area</strong><strong>Schools</strong> districtwebsite has added anew feature.Success Stories is aseries of videos madeof recent and pastgraduates of ourschools, as well as onecurrent student, whohave experiencedsuccess in theirpersonal, academicand professional lives.Click here to seebiographical featuresof some of theoutstanding individualswho have graduatedfrom our schools.The <strong>Forest</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> FFA will be selling poinsettiasagain this year during the holiday season.The poinsettias, which are of a very high qualitythis year, will be available in the AgricultureDepartment at <strong>Forest</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Area</strong> High Schoolfrom 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. daily until the supplyis depleted.The cost is $<strong>20</strong> for the large 8-inch plants and$13 for the 6 1/2 inch plants. Available colorsinclude red, white, pink and marble.Proceeds from the plant sales will benefit FFA members byproviding opportunities for them to attend leadership <strong>conference</strong>s andcamps throughout the school year.

Dunrudand Lutz are both teachers from the Minnesota Reading Corps.• <strong>Forest</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Area</strong> High School Activities Director Joe Olson broughtseveral members of the high school's successful sports andactivities teams to speak to the board. They included members andcoaches of the schools cross country and swimming anddiving teams, which competed at their respective state tournamentslast month, as well as members and advisors of the school's OpenMinds Club.Action ItemsThe board took the following actions:• Accepted the <strong>20</strong>09-<strong>20</strong>10 Financial Audit that was presented to theschool board by the accounting firm of MMKR Certified PublicAccountants. This included both the district's financial report and itsmanagement report;• Approved budget adjustments for the <strong>20</strong>10-<strong>20</strong>11 school year;• Approved the addition of an 8th grade AgriScience course;• Approved a new Algebra 9 course;
