It reflects the strength of our business model, the solidexecution of the Connect company programme, <strong>and</strong> the disciplinedintegration of our acquisitions.We have positioned <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> on a solid <strong>and</strong> growingbusiness: technologies that make industry, IT, energy, <strong>and</strong> citiesmore efficient. We have diversified <strong>and</strong> balanced our exposureto geographies <strong>and</strong> end markets, while remaining totally focusedon our mission of helping our customers to make the most oftheir energy.We continue to grow our business in new economies, whichnow make up 41 per cent of our sales, developing products<strong>and</strong> solutions specifically adapted to those countries.Our business with partners has been strengthened by a growingrelationship with large end users. I took the initiative toput in place this succession plan at the nextAnnual Shareholder’s meeting, in order to be able toparticipate in this transition before the end of my term.Consequently, our Supervisory Board, in agreementwith the President of the Management Board,propose the adoption of a structure with a Board ofDirectors (Conseil d’Administration). The Board isattached to the continued success of the group <strong>and</strong>its good governance. It endeavours to respect twokey principles: to maintain a strong <strong>and</strong> stableleadership <strong>and</strong> to guarantee the independent controlin the management of the company.
