The Swiss Section is organizing a scientific conference to be held near Basel on June 25to 28, 2003. Its theme will be human dignity as a legal notion (der Menschenwürde alsRechtsbegriff). The conference will take the shape of a colloquium with about 12 speakers and 30listeners. The speakers will deal with the notion of human dignity historically and systematicallyas well as in an application-oriented way (questions of Bio ethics, Ethno ethics and internationalrelations).
