Last week, TheSultan Center organized a recruitmentopen day unveiling the number ofcareer options available to youngOmanis, something which I believeshould be more widespread aroundMuscat in general.The process was very different to mostcareer fairs I have visited. By shortlistingapplicants for positions withon-the-spot interviews, it provided anexcellent opportunity to all the job seekers who presented their CV’s earlier that morning. For more hesitant visitors,it offered a chance to meet representatives from different divisions at TSC to decide which field would suit thembest, although that day the bulk of vacancies were mainly within TSC Oman management and Retail Operations.To all the big companies in Oman, whether private, governmental or in the much coveted oil and gas industry - getrid of the ‘wasta’ and give Omanis a REAL chance to find work!
