Why are healthy snacksimportant?Children need healthy snacksin between meals becausethey have small tummies andrequire small amounts of foodmore frequently than adults.A healthy snack should comefrom one or more of the fivefood groups. Offer your childa variety of healthy snackoptions of different colours,textures and flavours.
