WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOWABOUT YOUR SPA EXPERIENCEWhat time should I arrive for my appointment?Arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to your first spa service or15 minutes before a salon appointment. By arriving early, you’ll beable to relax and fully enjoy your spa experience. You may also wishto shower, use the steam, sauna or whirlpool, or even enjoy a workoutin our fitness room prior to your spa service. Please remember thateach appointment is precisely timed, so if you arrive late, your spaservice time may be shortened. If this happens, we will try toaccommodate you, but we cannot guarantee your full service time.What attire should I wear to the spa?The Woodlands Spa provides robes and slippers for your use duringeach spa visit. If you plan to work out, you will need to provide yourown clothing and workout footwear. Swimsuits are requested for thefollowing services:Water Path, Hydrotherapies and Kur Packages. Ifyou are having Thai Massage, Reiki or Shiatsu we ask that you wearyour own comfortable loose clothing. If you wish to swim or take anaqua class, we also request that you bring a swimsuit.Should I disrobe entirely for my spa appointments?Our spa providers have been trained to respect the privacy of ourguests. During each spa service the areas of the body not involvedwill be covered. If you would feel more comfortable, you may wearundergarments so that you can relax and enjoy your spa service.Is it okay to wear jewelry to the spa?We strongly recommend that you do NOT wear any jewelry duringyour spa service; we therefore suggest that you leave all valuablessecurely locked in your hotel safe.Is it possible to request a male or a female service provider?The Woodlands Spa will fulfill this request whenever possible to makeyour visit comfortable and relaxing.We do suggest, however, thatwhere possible this special request be made at the time of reservation.Is it okay to visit the spa if I am pregnant?Some spa services may be inappropriate during pregnancy, but manyservices are available for the mother-to-be.We do request that yoube in your second or third trimester. Please feel free to ask spamanagement for treatment recommendations.Spa Etiquette:• To prevent irritation, women should avoid shaving prior to bodytreatments. Please be sure to inform your therapist of anyinflamed joints or muscles.These should be avoided during massage.• To ensure your complete satisfaction, please inform your therapistof any discomfort or concern during your treatment.Werecommend you receive only one heat treatment per day. Pregnantwomen and individuals with heart conditions or varicose veinsshould avoid all heat treatments, steam, sauna and whirlpool areas.• Following any of our heat treatments, it is important that you restand avoid rigorous activity for at least one hour.• Please drink plenty of water before, and especially after, exerciseor heat treatments.• Guests receiving facial or waxing treatments should inform theaesthetician of any medications including Accutane or any formof Retinol product.

Should you bereceiving a treatment the daily fee is waived for that day of serviceonly. Daily spa fee is $20 for resort guests and $35 for non-resortguests.
