Community In<strong>for</strong>mation Centres(CSCs) in the Blocks.CIC has been set up at all the CD Blocks of our District.Each CIC Centre is well equipped with Computers with internet facilities.With the help of the computer with internet facilities, all walk of people can getin<strong>for</strong>mation of our country India <strong>and</strong> World over as well.The following are the benefits of the CICs in the Blocks:In<strong>for</strong>mation: An in<strong>for</strong>med citizen is productive citizen. The CICs can be useful<strong>for</strong> the citizens in getting a wide range of in<strong>for</strong>mation which was difficult toobtain, especially in remote areas, such as Block Headquarters. In<strong>for</strong>mationsuch as agriculture marketing <strong>and</strong> m<strong>and</strong>i In<strong>for</strong>mation, health <strong>and</strong> securitypractices, national initiative like AIDS awareness <strong>and</strong> family welfare, disastermanagement, employment opportunities, weather <strong>for</strong>ecasting <strong>and</strong> so on.Citizen centric Services <strong>and</strong> interface with Government: The CICs canbring about useful interface between the citizens (publics) <strong>and</strong> theGovernment through various e- Governance (work being done throughcomputers with interest connectivity) packages. In<strong>for</strong>mation on variousschemes <strong>and</strong> procedures including downloaded <strong>for</strong>ms can be used effectivelyby citizens besides bringing about transparency in the functioning of theGovernment.Education: The CICs provides interest connectively which together withwebcasting (where the topics or presentation of the study materials can bevisually seen or taught through computer) can be used <strong>for</strong> providing qualityeducation at the block headquarters.Tele-health Services: Facilities such as on line appointment with hospitalslocated in state Capitals, District headquarters etc. In<strong>for</strong>mation on medicalrelated topics can be provided through CICs.Entertainment: The CICs can be used <strong>for</strong> providing entertainment to thepeople by offering E-music (you can enjoy listening music through computerwith internet connection) <strong>and</strong> E-Cinema (There are facilities of viewingCinema Service through internet).Net-assisted Business: The local people at village level can get a boost byretailing their produce on internet. For example if an area is very well known<strong>for</strong> Orange products, the garden owners can be better benefited by availing
