BELIZE NON-IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION FORM

GENERAL INFORMATION:1. Belize welcomes all visitors. For this reason every effort is made to keep immigration formalities to a minimum.Please read the following information provided and answer ALL pertinent questions on the application form.2. ALL visitors MUST travel on a non-expired passport. The passport must be valid for no less that SIX MONTHSafter the intended period of a stay in Belize.3. Citizens of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), British Subjects, Commonwealths Citizens (with theexception of: Bangladesh, Cameroon, Chad, India, Mozambique, Nauru, Pakistan and Zimbabwe),U.S. Citizensand Citizens of the European Community do not require a visa to enter Belize. (If your country of nationality is notmentioned, please contact our office for verification.)4. Some visas require approval from the Ministry of Immigration in Belize. In these cases please allow THREE toFIVE working days. Your passport must remain with the Consulate of Belize during this time.5. Visitors are advised to have sufficient funds for the purpose and period of their stay. The sum of Seventy-Five USdollars (USD 75.00) is considered sufficient for a daily minimum requirement per person. This figure wouldinclude accommodation, transportation and means. ALL visitors must be in possession of a return ticket or proofof onward journey. Evidence of travel arrangements MUST accompany the application for a visa.6. A visa is ONLY valid for the purpose it was originally issued. A visa does NOT guarantee entry into Belize. Theimmigration Official at the point of entry determines whether or not a person qualifies for admission. Visitors aretherefore advised to carry with them documentation provided to obtain the visa and present such evidence to theImmigration Official should it be required.7. The visa validity period pertains only to the period during which it may be used for an application for admissioninto Belize. The Immigration Official at the point of entry determines the actual period of stay. Extension to theperiod of stay must be made by application to the nearest Immigration office IN BELIZE. Failure to extend thevisa is a criminal offence.8. The holder of a Non-Immigrant Visa is prohibited from engaging in ANY kind of employment.APPLICATION PROCESS:1. A separate application is required for each traveler regardless of age. Each application should be legiblyprinted, signed and dated. A RECENT passport-sized photograph with the applicant’s printed name andsignature on the reverse side should be fastened to the application form in the space provided.2. The VISA fees are as follows: CHF 75 for single entry, CHF 100 for multiple entries and Business travelersand a self addressed envelope (CHF 5). Payment MUST be made by cash or postal order. Personal chequesare NOT accepted. Please note that the Consulate of Belize does not accept responsibility for any financialdocumentary loss associated with the application for a visa.3.
