Coverage:1. Population base: Children under five years of age.2. Time period: Two weeks preceding the interview.B. Numerators:1. Number of children ill with diarrhea (as defined by the respondent—child’s mother) at anytime during the two weeks preceding the interview.2. Number of children ill with diarrhea at any time during the two weeks preceding theinterview who were taken to be seen by a health provider.3. Number of children ill with diarrhea at any time during the two weeks preceding theinterview who received oral rehydration salts (ORS) packets; recommended home fluids(RHF); either ORS or RHF; increased fluids; <strong>and</strong> ORS, RHF, or increased fluids.4. Number of children under five years of age ill with diarrhea at any time during the two weekspreceding the interview who received treatment other than ORT: pill/syrup, injection,intravenous solution, <strong>and</strong> home remedy/other), <strong>and</strong> number who received no treatment.5. Number of children under five years of age ill with diarrhea at any time during the two weekspreceding the interview in categories of amount of liquids <strong>and</strong> foods offered: same as usual,more than usual, somewhat less, much less or none.C.
