PVAANNEX 1: TERMS OF REFERENCE AND OUTPUTTERMS OF REFERENCE (Contract 413/09 of May 2009)i. Submit to <strong>UNESCO</strong> <strong>Islamabad</strong> by 2 May 2009, a workschedule based on the selected proposal prepared by PVAii. Establish two field teams, simultaneously for datacollection, led by a Project Coordinator, engaged by theContractoriii. Adopt the <strong>UNESCO</strong> format for data collection, alreadybeing used in NWFP, and work under direct guidance of theGIS expert engaged by <strong>UNESCO</strong>iv. Identify 15 villages per district for data collection and dataentry in districts Multan and Bahawalpur (Punjab)v. Initiate, guide and supervise the process of data collectionand ensure timely delivery of data to the GIS expert,engaged by <strong>UNESCO</strong> and submit the inception <strong>report</strong> to<strong>UNESCO</strong> by 30 June 2009 at the latest.vi. Liaise with the local governments to ensure participation ofkey members of the team in related training workshopsorganized by <strong>UNESCO</strong> in other districts; and organizerelated areas in Multan and Bahawalpur (Punjab)vii. Submit quarterly progress <strong>report</strong>s to <strong>UNESCO</strong> <strong>Islamabad</strong>,with suggestions for pilot initiatives to demonstrate thevalue of cultural mappingviii. Oversee the establishment of a GIS database in Lahore, forcultural assets of the Punjab and ensure its conformity with<strong>UNESCO</strong> system being followed in NWFPix.
