Initial Start-up or Start-up After AutomaticShut-off – Water FillBefore the compressor starts, the water pump, waterinlet valve and hot gas valve are energized for about 3minutes.2. Refrigeration System Start-upThe compressor starts after the water fill, and remainson throughout the Freeze and Harvest cycles. The hotgas valve remains on for 5 seconds during initialcompressor start-up and then shuts off.At the same time the compressor starts, thecondenser fan motor (air-cooled models) is suppliedwith power. The condenser fan motor will remainenergized during the entire freeze cycle.3. FreezeThe water pump sprays water into the inverted cups.The water freezes layer by layer, until an ice cubeforms in each cup.
