Wait until the Clean light flashes (3 minutes) thenadd 3 oz of <strong>Manitowoc</strong> cleaner by lifting the watershutter and pouring directly into the spray area.The ice machine will automatically time out a tenminute cleaning cycle, followed by eight rinsecycles, and stop. The Clean light will turn off toindicate the Clean cycle is complete. This entirecycle lasts approximately 30 minutes.5. When the cleaning process stops, remove allparts as described in Removal of Parts forCleaning and Sanitizing.6. Mix 16 oz (480 ml) cleaner with 1 gal (4 L) ofwarm water in a non metallic container.-7. Take all components to sink for cleaning. Use 1/2of the Cleaner/Water mixture and clean allcomponents with a soft nylon brush or cloth.Disassemble spray bar, remove nozzles andinserts and soak for 5 minutes. For heavily scaledparts, soak in solution for 15 – 20 minutes. Rinseall components with clean water.8. While components are soaking, use nylon brushor cloth to clean inside of ice bin. Clean inside ofdoor, door gasket, bin, top of evaporator andevaporator bucket. Rinse all areas thoroughly withclean water.SANITIZING PROCEDUREUse sanitizer to remove algae or slime. Do not use it toremove lime scale or other mineral deposits.NOTE: Always perform a cleaning procedure beforesanitizing the ice machine.1. Mix 4 oz (120 ml) sanitizer with 6 gal (13 L) ofwarm water in a non metallic container.2. Take all components to sink for sanitizing. Use theSanitizer/Water mixture and sanitize allcomponents that were removed for the CleaningProcedure with a soft nylon brush or cloth. Soakfor 5 minutes.
