Step 7 Mix a solution of cleaner and warm water.Depending on the amount of mineral buildup, a largerquantity of solution may be required. Use the ratio inthe table below to mix enough solution to thoroughlyclean all parts.Solution Type Water Mixed withCleaner4L. (1 gal)500 ml (16 oz)cleanerStep 8 Use half of the cleaner/water solution to cleanall components. The cleaner solution will foam when itcontacts lime scale and mineral deposits; once thefoaming stops use a soft bristle brush, sponge or cloth(not a wire brush) to carefully clean the parts. Soak theparts for 5 minutes (15 – 20 minutes for heavily scaledparts). Rinse all components with clean water.Step 9 While components are soaking, use half of thecleaner/water solution to clean all foodzone surfacesof the ice machine and bin. Use a nylon brush or clothto thoroughly clean the following ice machine areas:• Evaporator plastic parts – including top, bottomand sides• Bin bottom, sides and topRinse all areas thoroughly with clean water.Step 10 Mix a solution of sanitizer and warm water.SolutionTypeWaterSanitizer 23 L.
