SM50FunctionThe bin thermostat stops the ice machine when the binis full. It is preset for normal ambient temperatures andadjustments are usually not required.The level of ice in the ice storage bin controls the icemachine shut-off. When the bin is full, ice cubescontact the bin thermostat bulb holder, which coolsdown and opens the bin thermostat to stop the icemachine. The ice machine remains off until enough icehas been removed from the bin. This causes thethermostat bulb holder to warm and closes the binthermostat, restarting the ice machine.The thermostat is functioning correctly if, when threeice cubes are placed on the thermostat tube for 5minutes, the ice machine stops.
