DISCHARGE PRESSURE HIGH CHECKLISTImproper Installation• Refer to“Installation and Visual InspectionChecklist” on page 104.Restricted Condenser Air Flow• High inlet air temperature• Condenser discharge air re-circulation• Dirty condenser fins• Defective fan motorImproper Refrigerant Charge• Overcharged• Non-condensable in system• Wrong type of refrigerantOther• Non-Manitowoc components in system• High side refrigerant lines/component restricted(before mid-condenser)FREEZE CYCLE DISCHARGE PRESSURE LOWCHECKLISTImproper Installation• Refer to “Installation and Visual InspectionChecklist” on page 104.Improper Refrigerant Charge• Undercharged• Wrong type of refrigerantOther• Non-Manitowoc components in system• High side refrigerant lines/component restricted(after condenser)• Ambient temperature too lowNOTE: Do not limit your diagnosis to only the itemslisted in the checklists.150 Part Number 80-01111-9 7/10

ANALYZING SUCTION PRESSUREThe suction pressure gradually drops throughout thefreeze cycle. The actual suction pressure (and droprate) changes as the air and water temperatureentering the ice machine changes. These variablesalso determine the freeze cycle times. To analyze and identify the proper suction pressuredrop throughout the freeze cycle, compare thepublished suction pressure to the published freezecycle time.NOTE: Analyze discharge pressure before analyzingsuction pressure. High or low discharge pressure maybe causing high or low suction pressure.Part Number 80-01111-9 7/10 151
