TurboCap TMHigh-CV SMPS CapacitorsThe TurboCap TM , MLC capacitors from AVX Corporation are characterized with very highcapacitance in a small volume. By vertical stacking of the ceramic elements, the footprintrequired for mounting the capacitors is greatly reduced. TurboCaps TM are ideally suited asfilters in the input and output stages of switch mode power supplies (SMPS). With theirultra-low ESR, these capacitors are designed to handle high ripple current at highfrequencies and high power levels. The DIP leads in either thru-hole or surface mountconfigurations offer superior stress relief to the ceramic elements.
