On Wednesday, November 14 th , Tubman Elder
Care & Rights Center and Wilder Foundation will
be co-sponsoring the 5th Annual Film Festival on
Aging. The purpose of the film festival is to use
film to promote quality of life for Minnesota’s
aging population. The program will be held at
Wilder Center, 451 N. Lexington Parkway in St.
Paul, with registration at 7:30 a.m., followed by
the program from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
uCATE YOuRSElF.
Four films will be featured again this year, with a
moderator discussant following each film. The
morning session will feature Janet Golden of
Tubman moderating discussion about “The
Sandwich Generation”, followed by Amy
McDonough of AARP responding to issues raised
in the film, “Last Will and Embezzlement’. The
afternoon session will feature “203 Days”,
moderated by Kathryn Ringham of Wilder
Foundation, followed by “An Ordinary Life” with
discussion moderated by retiree Marge Thurin,
formerly of ElderCare Rights Alliance.
Registration for the day long program, which
includes all course materials, lunch and
refreshments, is $40 for professionals requesting
CEUs, $35 for general admission and $25 for

with Alzheimer's disease or memory loss.
The group is open to the public and offers a

program.
Volunteers will be trained and matched with
an elder or caregiver who is interested in
improving his/her wellness and health
behaviors or who has set a goal toward
positive change. The
coach will develop a
telephonic relationship
with the client and make
weekly coaching calls to
discuss goals and offer support and
encouragement.
The Normandale Center for Healing &
Wholeness is a non-profit charitable
