Welcome to the Ladies European Tour <strong>Access</strong> <strong>Series</strong> (<strong>LET</strong>AS) guide, which we hopeyou will find useful as you follow our tournaments in the coming season.The vision of <strong>LET</strong>AS is to offer greater playing opportunities for young female golfers,providing an important link between elite amateur and professional golf.Since launching in 2010, <strong>LET</strong>AS has already provided a springboard for many playerswho have been able to test their games at the international level. There is also the uniqueopportunity to earn a pass to play on the <strong>LET</strong>.The Ladies European Tour is extremely pleased and proud of what <strong>LET</strong>AS has achieved insuch a short time. About the <strong>LET</strong> <strong>Access</strong> <strong>Series</strong>The <strong>LET</strong> <strong>Access</strong> <strong>Series</strong> (<strong>LET</strong>AS), the official feeder tour to the Ladies European Tour,has been formed to give players not part of a major tour an opportunity to compete andprogress on to the Ladies European Tour. The <strong>LET</strong> <strong>Access</strong> <strong>Series</strong> is an important stepfor the development of women’s professional golf in Europe, helping to raise awarenessof women’s professional golf generally and bringing additional opportunities to countriesdeveloping their women’s golf programmes. All female professional golfers and amateurswith a handicap of 2 or better will be eligible for membership of the <strong>LET</strong> <strong>Access</strong> <strong>Series</strong>,providing they are over 18 years of age, therefore giving elite amateurs the opportunityto play at the top level against professionals on a week by week basis. In <strong>2013</strong>, the <strong>LET</strong><strong>Access</strong> <strong>Series</strong> will feature a schedule of twelve events in seven different countries.About the Ladies European TourThe Ladies European Tour (<strong>LET</strong>) is Europe’s leading women’s professional golf tour andformed as the WPGA in 1978. Over the last 35 years, the tour has developed into a trulyinternational organisation and in <strong>2013</strong> will operate a minimum of 24 golf tournaments in 19different countries worldwide. Dinard Ladies OpenDinard Golf, 12th - 14th April 2012Winner: Carly BoothFINAL RESULTSScotland’s Carly Booth claimed the first title of her career as aprofessional after she saw off Frenchwoman Marion Ricordeau in aplay-off for the Dinard Ladies Open in France.Booth three-putted the par-four 18th at Dinard Golf Club in Brittany todrop back into a tie with Ricordeau on one under par in the secondLadies European Tour <strong>Access</strong> <strong>Series</strong> event of the 2012 season. Kristianstad Åhus Ladies OpenKristianstad Golf Club, 10th - 12th May 2012Winner: Cecilie LundgreenFINAL RESULTSNorwegian Cecilie Lundgreen captured her first <strong>LET</strong> <strong>Access</strong><strong>Series</strong> title at the Kristianstad Åhus Ladies Open after masteringtough, windy conditions on the final day at Kristianstad GolfClub in Sweden.Lundgreen started the round a stroke behind FrenchwomanMelodie Bourdy in second position but a final round offive over 77 was good enough to clinch the title with a sixover par three-round total of 222, ending a shot ahead ofMarion Ricordeau.Lundgreen led for most of the final day but nerves began toshow down the stretch as she dropped four shots over theclosing four holes with two bogeys and a double bogey.However a par on the difficult par-five 18th was all that wasneeded to avoid a play-off and Lundgreen duly delivereddespite admitting to feeling nerves at the end.Sweden’s Lina Boqvist finished third on eight over followeda stroke back in fourth place by first-round leader AnastasiaKostina, with Swedish amateur Emma Nilsson a shot furtherback in fifth. Ljungbyhed Park PGA Ladies OpenLjungbyhed Golf Club, 16th - 18th May 2012Winner: Pamela PretswellFINAL RESULTSCurtis Cup amateur Pamela Pretswell of Scotland came from threeshots back to claim a two-stroke victory at the Ljungbyhed ParkPGA Ladies Open in Sweden. The 23-year-old from Glasgow shotrounds of 73, 72 and 67 for a total of one under par 212.With her victory, the Bothwell Castle player became the first amateurto win an event on the Ladies European Tour <strong>Access</strong> <strong>Series</strong> sincethe tour was launched in 2010.All of the top four places were taken by amateur competitors.Sweden’s Isabella Deilbert was second on one over par afterrounds of 69, 73 and 72, followed by fellow Swede Linnea Strömand Denmark’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen two strokes further back ina share of third.Mary Mattson of the United States and Swedish duo EmmaNilsson and Anna Dahlberg Söderström ended in a share of fifthplace on four over par.Because of her amateur status, Pretswell did not earn the €5,062first prize money. The Spaniard started with a birdie, her onlybogey of the round coming at the 334 yd par 4 11th hole. Alonso finished witha birdie on the 18th, holing a 4 metre putt to become the clubhouse leaderat 3 under par. Clyburn, two groups behind Alonso, dropped a shot on the336 yd par 4 second hole, picking up a birdie on the 4th before dropping5 shots in the next three holes with double bogeys on both the 7th and8th holes. Clyburn recovered well, playing the back nine in 2 under par andholing a crucial birdie putt on the 18th, to also finish at 3 under par and forcea play-off with Alonso.Both players made pars on the first play-off hole, the 18th.
