old R20-C or whatever system was creaking, even inmy time, and it was getting harder and harder to addnew matches in any sensible sequence. So this new system will be in place for the ImperialHistoric Arms Meeting on 9 and 10 July: also look outin the Programme for new matches, especially at 100yards. But sadly it is not all good news; entry fees willhave to go up, but where possible you will get a littlemore for your entry, such as moving target events willbe 20 shots not 10, and advancing target events willget an extra run.The work on our Handbook of Rules and Conditionsis continuing but much work is required to ensure it iscompatible with the Gallery Rifle Handbook and theapplicable parts of the Bisley Bible. The target date tohave it in use is for the Trafalgar Meeting on 22 and23 October – another date for your diary.I know things will be tough this year and with petrolnow costing £60 or more for a fill-up adding to the costof just getting to Bisley; more misery on top of otherincreased shooting costs. But, nevertheless, I hope tosee you all at Bisley in the coming year.Forthcoming Historic and Classic Meetings 2011The NRA Imperial Historic Arms Meeting9 and 10 July 2011 at BisleyEntirely “In The Spirit of the Original”Matches for Rifle, Sporting Rifle, Gallery Rifle and ML PistolEnquiries to David Mumford 01483 797777 ext 151 or e-mail info@nra.org.ukThe NRA Percussion Revolver ChampionshipSaturday 11 June at BisleyMelville RangeEntries permitted in more than one classClass 1 – Standard Percussion Revolver“Spirit of the Original”, shot offhandClass 2 – Target Percussion RevolverBlack powder only, metallic adjustable sights permitted, shot offhandClass 3 – Open Percussion RevolverAny design, any sights, any propellant, two hands may be used to support therevolver.
