AssamBirjhora : Branch organized a health camp in thepremises of Diamond Club at Chitkagaon, Hiraparasituated at a distance of 7km from Bongaigaon on23.05.10. Altogethr 148 villagers registered their names,most of whom were women and children. Medicinesworth Rs. 15000 were distributed along with bleachingpowder for purification of water. Theyare so innocent that sometimes they do not know thatthey are being exploited and by the time they come toknow, it is too late. At the same time these children havelittle knowledge about personal hygiene. To tackle thisproblem, the branch has undertaken a project toeducate and awaken such girls about these things.As a first step in this direction, a brief programme wasorganized for the girl students of Shaiwal High School,Amrit Colony Ludhiana. About 56 girls of the schoolattended this programme Dr. Meenu Kochhar told themabout basic hygiene and cleanliness.
